This little exhibition of pictures by Piergiorgio
Branzi is just a taste, waiting the occasion to show the work of this great
master of italian photography in a complete anthologic exhibition, for
discover some of his masterpieces. The pictures presented here, selected
by their author, cover a period that goes from 1953 to the early sixties.
Piergiorgio Branzi (Florence, 1928) is one of the most representative
photographers not only of the "Il Mondo" school, but also of the italian
last fifty years photography, characterized by an original and refined
research of balance between realism and formalism. From the sixties on
he worked as journalist in Italy and abroad (Paris, Moskow) for the RAI
(Italian State Television).
