Born in Padua (Italy), after studying Piano, Organ and Singing, since the beginning of 1980s he has devoted himself mainly to Renaissance Music and Baroque, carrying out personal research into Vocality and Performing style. In this field he has met and collaborated with esteemed musicians, amongst the greatest interpreters of the Baroque repertory, like Nigel Rogers, Antony Rooley, René Jacobs, Jordi Savall, Gustav Leonhardt, Roberto Gini, Rinaldo Alessandrini, thus embarking on an intense concert activity with a repertory that ranges from the Madrigal to the Cantata and the Oratorio and the Baroque Opera.
As a soloist he has more than once performed the Gloria, the Salve Regina, the Stabat Mater, the Dixit Dominus and the Magnificat of Antonio Vivaldi; the Magnificat BWV 243, the Mass in B minor, the Cristmas Oratorio, the St. John Passion, and some Cantate of J. S. Bach; the Dihit Dominus of G. F. Händel; the Vespro della Beata Vergine and the Orfeo of C. Monteverdi; the Narciso of A. Scarlatti.
He regularly talces part, as a Counter-tenor, in numerous concerts in all Europe for the most important musical Institutions and Festivals of Ancient Music with internationally recognised vocal and instrumental Groups amongst which: Hesperion XX, Capella Reial de Catalunia, the Concert des Nations directed by Jordi Savall; Wiener Akademie directed by Martin Haselböck; Concert de les Arts directed by Victor Alonso; Ensemble "Vanitas" and Choir of the Italia Swiss Radio directed by Diego Fasolis.
For some time in Italy he has collaborated with the Giardino Armonico (Giovanni Antonini), the Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca (Andrea Marcon), the Concerto Italiano (Rinaldo Alessandrini), the Cappella della Pietà de' Turchini (Antonio Florio), Accademia Bizantina (Ottavio Dantone), Athestis Consort and Chorus (Filippo Maria Bressan), Orchestra Barocca di Venezia and Accademia di S. Rocco (Andrea Marcon), Magnifica Comunità Ensemble (E. Casazza), Delitiae Musicae (Marco Longhini), La Stagione Armonica (Sergio Balestracci), Capella Ducale. Venetia (Livio Picotti).
He has broadcast a number of times for European radio and television stations and has many of his own recordings with the Record Companies Astrée-Auvidis, Harmonia Mundi, Decca, Tactus, Accord, Divox Antiqua, Stradivarius, Opus 111, Chandos.
