I've mounted the Scottoiler's reservoir at the
right side of the bike, behind the wind deflector. This way, it's hidden from view, and
also, the wind deflector protects it from dirt. Although it's hidden from view, I can
still fill and adjust it without having to remove anything from the bike. These were my
reasons for choosing the right side, and not the left side for mounting the Scottoiler: For mounting the Scottoiler, I made a small, L-shaped metal plate. The top of this
metal plate is bolted to the radiator (roel1.jpg). The bottom of
it rests on the peg, which supports the wind deflector (roel3.jpg).
The reservoir is attached to that metal plate, using some of the parts, which were
delivered with the Scottoiler.
Here is a picture that shows(not really) how I mounted
the large tank inside the wingrack on the left side.I had to cut it a little but it works
great.I can even fill it! I also made the dripper go to the middle of the chain as apposed
to just the outside.
I stowed it under the seat, hiding
behind the left side fairing, in that compartment from where the air is sucked into
the filter.
I managed to install the drip tip at the sprocket's 6 o'clock level,
without removing the rim (as per scottoiler's advise), by bending
it slightly. Actually, the drip tip was already bent when supplied. That's why I
thought of setting it up like that... :-)
