view from terraceVilla Girasole is lovely beach-house with a nice garden and the pebble beach at walkable distance. A wonderful feature with Villa Girasole is the big porticato with table and chairs for your al-fresco meal which features an outdoor kitchen too.

The villa is located inside a private gated area where other villas rest, but each one of them has its own garden and parking spot. Very close to the house, at about 1 kilometer, there is the beautiful Nature Reserve of Monte Zingaro, where you can have wonderful walk and discover the great little bay with crystalline blue water of our Mediterranean Sea.

The house has a living/dining room, a little indoor kitchen fully furnished, two double bedooms and another bedroom with two bunk beds that could be good only for kids.
In the double bedrooms there is also AC so you don't have to worry about the Sicilian hot summer. Two full bathroom with shower complete the lay-out of the villa, plus an outdoor shower, very convenient when you come back from the beach.

The furnishing is simple but functional, there are long chairs for your sun bath and we believe is a good location for your excursion of the western area of Sicily, not to mention that the beach is just few steps away.

The Villa is located near the village of Scopello, about 50 kilometers west from Palermo. Scopello is a lovely mediaeval village that really worth a visit. Also it is the only place where you can taste "Pani cunzatu". To have this experience you must must go to the only bakery of the village: here you can have it just out from the oven, then very slowly a lady will cut it and fill it with fresh tomato, anchovy, fresh local cheese, salt, pepper, oregan and olive oil...unforgettable! If you still have energy, you can go to "Lo Zingaro" nature reserve. It is a nice trekking path that for the exercised ones, can take to Capo S.Vito with a four hours walk. Capo San Vito is famous for two things: the most beautiful stretch of white beach of Sicily and the Cous-cous. Every year in September there is a world contest for the best coucous. Our choice is the restaurant "Il Pocho". Other interesting excursions are: Segesta with the best kept Greek temple and Erice, the mediaeval town on the hill . The closest town is Castellamare del golfo at about six kilometers where you can find everything you may need.
