Milan
is a shopper's paradise. But don't go around looking for street-stalls
offering local handicrafts - this is a place where people come to buy
the best of what is made in Italy, in particular clothes, shoes and
leather goods, products that exemplify Italy's design and - looking
further up-market - jewelry, furs and antiques.
It may be true that Milan's prices are higher than those of other Italian cities, but it is also true that you certainly don't need to be a Rockefeller to do your shopping here: Corso Buenos Aires, Via Paolo Sarpi and other areas offer good quality products at affordable prices. |
