MATHEMATICS & ART: A SERIES OF VIDEOS

The series is intended to provide visual stimuli capable of exciting the interest and imagination of people with the most varied interest: students, not only in mathematics, but also of art, architecture, biology, providing what should be a interdisciplinary points of departure, but concentrating on visual effect never forgetting that we are using a visual language, we are creating films not books.

The videos are directed not only at students but also at teachers in the various disciplines, and, more ambitiously, at everybody.

Naturally, even though the broader aim has been to stimulate a large audience in the widest sense of that word, the point of reference remains mathematics. nevertheless, in the various films it is sometimes a fascination with mathematics that prevail while at other times it is the artistic aspect.

In the last twenty years many videos have been made with the co-operation of artists and scientists from all over the world.
