Our history begins during the 20's, from an intuition of Mr. Federico
Prandini, that goes often in Venice for his former job. In this magical
place he meets the different sewing items, strass and all kinds of glass
beads... and it is love at first sight.
Suddendly he resignes from his job and proposes to his wife, Bianca, to
open up a shop of those items. It's the 1923 when they start their
new business and open a small shop in Bologna.
All those years ago, there weren't famous fashion designers in Italy.
Paris was the center of the fashion and all the new tendences came from
there. The "liberty" style needs sequins and pearls and glass beads both
for dressing and furniture, and the all over the world people dance the
"Charleston". It seems that everyone needs glass beads.
Time passes, and the success of the business needs a newer and bigger
shop. To manage the business Mr. Prandini involves his son, Mr. Vittorio,
and his wife, Mrs. Emilia. This next generation owns and manages the shop
during the sixties (when they transfer the shop in Todaro street 3/a,
where now we are) and the seventies.
In the 1975, the untimely death of Mr. Vittorio takes from his
wife the will to carry on working. One of the customers of the store,
Mr. Carlo Ravanelli, and his second wife, decide to buy the shop and the
brand. This third generation owns and manages the business until 1996,
when Mr. Ravanelli's son, Fabio, suddendly inherits the shop.
Mr. Fabio Ravanelli, a degree in Economics, with a carreer started
in a business company, decides to resign from his job and to keep on the
activity. His goal is to renew and to modernize the business and lead
it towards the challenges and opportunities of the XXI century. (...
