Band!!
What does "Pimpush" mean ? , everyone
asks us.
Well.....Pimpush is a lot of things,a style of living maybe, I mean
living our music...let's say that it's a "state of mind" that we
often enter when we play our guitars,or have a "jam session" with the
many good musicians that often join us in our gigs at the Clubs in
Rome, Italy, and also when we are together with our faithful (few!)
"pimpush lovers"
Our music has the taste of Blues and Jazz ,with the influence of
Mirko Kuc's studies in Classical Music (he's also studied to become a
Catholic Priest...he never told me why he was thrown out
though..!!)
Mirko a Polish Citizen, has played (in youth ) with the likes of
Donna Summer's Band,and when he lived in Poland formed a Band called
"Fun Factory" that had quite a lot of success. He then left Poland
for Italy due to the political situation there..
At the moment he is heavily involved in studying his own particular
style of playing his Strat, taking influences from Jazz (Pat
Martino), Blues (Stevie Ray Vaughan) and from the great Jimi
Hendrix..plus and not last his own "musical fantasy".
He told me that within two years he's going to be famous like John
Mclaughlin!!

As for myself, I
am a great admirer of Janis Joplin, and I really think that she was
one of the best musicians of the 60's..I might say the real
"beginner" as for Pimpush philosophy in music..She left the world
much too early.
I've played in the fantastic "BluEco" band of the 1980's..Too bad
that band broke up, but that's life.
I was mostly just a singer then, didn't have much courage (or skill
!) with the guitar!
