A Wedding in Siberia
July-August 2006

Some years ago, Nicolas met Genia on an island on Lake Baikal, in Siberia.
When they decided to marry in July 2006, they thought they would do so in the same place they met the first time... and so, there we went!

The wedding was as international as you can imagine: Russian and French were the dominant nationalities, followed by the “Italian contingent”.
The whole wedding party shared 3 days on Olkhon Island, enjoying the scenery and the company of the bride and groom and all other guests.

The actual wedding ceremony, on the last evening, took place in the Russian Orthodox chapel on top of a hill. The cocktail that followed made us feel characters out of a Kusturica movie...

Thank you to Genia&Nicolas and their families for these unforgettable days...
And all the best for the years to come!
