ECHO driver’s terminal

The ECHO driver’s terminal is an on-board unit that provides remote control for HD and HD3 ticket cancelling machines. In addition, ECHO handles drivers shifts and communication with data collection systems.

ECHO stores all data relevant to ticket cancelling, season ticket usage, pre-paid cards used on board, drivers and inspectors operations in a high capacity integrated memory.

An integrated IRDA interface and a serial port are available to connect the ECHO to a portable terminal and/or a remote data processing system.

In order to unload the collected information to the latter, ECHO is able to interface and manage a variety of communication devices such as UHF/VHF radio, GSM cellular network, for both data and voice. Short range data excahnge can be performed via radio or infrared systems.
