Il 10
Dicembre 1948, l'Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite
approvò e proclamò la Dichiarazione Universale dei
Diritti dell'Uomo.
Da allora ad
oggi, alle soglie del terzo millennio, troppe volte i
Diritti dell'Uomo sono stati violati, offesi e
colpevolmente dimenticati anche da Nazioni che
sottoscrissero la Dichiarazione.
Oggi 10
dicembre 1999, la pittrice Zaklina U. Jacoby, le
cui opere sono esposte in gallerie e musei di tutto il
mondo, aderendo all'appello della Fondazione Caschi
Bianchi Europa, dona un proprio quadro alla Commissione
dei Diritti dell'Uomo delle Nazioni Unite, affinché il
ricavato di questa opera d'arte venga utilizzato per
proseguire nella battaglia per l'abolizione della pena di
morte.
Nello stesso
tempo la Fondazione Caschi Bianchi Europa, pur senza
volere interferire in alcun modo sull'applicazione della
Giustizia di ogni singolo stato, lancia in questa
occasione particolare un pressante appello a tutte le
Associazioni Umanitarie ed al mondo della cultura perché,
al di là di ogni distinzione di religione, razza,
ideologia, e politica, sottoscrivano una petizione per
chiedere agli Stati che applicano la pena di morte di
abolirla e, in particolare al Governo Turco, nell'immediato,
come primo segno di tale volontà, di salvare la vita di
Abdullah Ocalan, condannato alla pena capitale.
Justice
without death
On the
December the 10th 1948, The United Nations General
Assembly brought and proclaimed the Universal Declaration
about Human Rights.
From that day
till current times, on the beginning of the 3rd millenium,
the human rights were violated many times. The human
rights were offended and forgotten even by the nations
who signed the Universal Declaration.
Today on the
December the 10th responding to the White Helmets Europe
Foundation appeal, the painter Zaklina U. Jacoby,
whose works of art are exposed in the galleries and
museums around the world, is donating one of her
paintings to the United Nations Commission for the Human
Rights. The profit of this painting shall be used in the
battle against death sentence.
At the same
time the White Helmets Europe Foundation, without any
wishes to interfere in the justice system of any state,
launches one strong appeal to the all humanitarian
associations and to the world of culture, without
counting any religious, racial, ideological and political
differences to sign a petition which asks the states
which are practicing death sentence to bring the
abolition. In order to save the life of the death
sentenced Abdullah Ocelan, the appeal is particularly
sent to the Turky Goverement.
