You are landed, coming from the real world, or from a virtual one,
like GrassRoots, at the airport of Linate
You can start again to visit Italy, the big boot
swimming in the Mediterranean sea, in the South Europa.
If you aren't in a hurry, take a bus , and join the city.
The bus will bring you near Piazza del Duomo:
the Duomo is a beautiful gothic Cathedral.
Through the Galleria (a building like a Gallery), you can join
Piazza della Scala: book a place to the Opera Theatre, named
Teatro alla Scala, and enjoy the Magic Flute or the Trovatore!
(There is also a Puppets' Theatre, and the FontanaTeatro, for kids, if you like it better!)
Are you now hungry and thirsty?
You can find, also here, fast-foods, but you can also
taste the risotto alla milanese and the cotoletta alla milanese,
drinking a good wine from the Oltre Po or from Francia Corta,
near to BRIXIA (Brescia) and Marmentino, where the owl has its nest,
and enjoing the cake named panettone.
If you arrive in Winter, you can also bring with you your sled or ski
on the Monte Stella, the Star Mountain,
that Milanesi (people living in Milano)
build after the last war, because they dreamed a mountain,
since they live in the plain.
In Spring or in Summer, you can sail on the two canals named Navigli,
with nice bridges across them, and join, with a canoe or with a boat,
the river named Ticino and also the river named Po... and arrive to
Venice!
The Milanesi dream the sea, too! Perhaps an ancient Celtic love.
Don't forget, if you like arts, to visit the Pinacoteca di Brera, an Art Gallery,
or to see the ancient paleo-christian basilicas, as San Lorenzo,
or the Romanesque Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio.
If you like better Sciences, visit the Museo della Scienza!
But now are you perhaps tired:
why don't you take a rest in the Parco, the park near to
the Castello Sforzesco, the Castle of Milano?
And, last but not least, come and visit me, Ambrosius:
I lived near the Museo di Storia Naturale (the Natural History Museum),
where you can meet, sometimes, also my dear friend, Plinius the elder,
that was born in Como
where I live now.
