          UGO LUCIO BUSINARO

Born in 1929, he got a degree in Physics at the Milano University and a "free teachership" in Nuclear Physics.

Italian as mother language. Fluent in English and french.

He started as a scientist doing research in nuclear reactor physics at the CISE Laboratory in Milano and then at FIAT Nuclear Energy Dept. in Torino, where he became responsible for the research activity.

In 1972 he left the nuclear field to move to the central research organisation in FIAT where he became Managing Director of the FIAT Corporate Research Center.

In 1983 he moved to Brussels as responsible of the Fiat liaison office to the European Community.

He has served as member of several committees and working groups at the European Commission in the fields of R&D and of transport.

He was part of the team of evaluators of the FAST I and II program of the EC.

He left the active service in 1986. Since then he has served as a consultant for FIAT and other companies, participated to several international working groups for study on matter of policy making in complex system research (notably he performed a study as a visiting scientist at the European Commission on the Urban System Challenges).

He has been member of the board of ARCA MERCHANT ABK Bank.

He has published several scientific papers and a few books on industrial research and innovation management.

As a grand father he ended writing novels for children.
