Wildlife illustration, animal drawings, math and the natural sciences. I will touch on these subjects in my WEB pages. I am Andy (Andrea) de Paoli. This is where (as you can tell) I talk a little :-) about myself and my work. Alcune materie che mi interessano sono l'illustrazione naturalistica, la matematica e le scienze naturali. In queste pagine toccherò alcuni di questi temi. Scusate, se non mi sono presentato, sono Andrea de Paoli e in queste pagine parlerò un pò :-) di me stesso.

My favorite activities: Mathematics, Physics and Art

I study math, I also like to draw and sculpt. I support civil-rights and animal welfare. You may see some examples of my work in the attached pages. Some of my math and physics are included, and you can also see a list of math and physics papers and sites. Some of the articles are in Italian but most of the technical ones are in English.
Some of my children's stories and poetry are at another site: Geocities 		Attualmente studio matematica all'università e disegno e faccio sculture. Ho studiato filosofia in America. Ho quindi incluso alcuni esempi di lavori miei: dalla grafica alla filosofia (etica in particolare) e matematica. Alcuni articoli di cosmologia e fisica sono anche in italiano, per adesso la maggior parte dei miei scritti sono in inglese.

Some of my art work is displayed in my art portfolio. As you all know images take a bit longer, but please bear with it and take a peek. Alcuni esempi della mia grafica naturalistica si possono vedere nel mio portfolio, come sapete la grafica occupa più spazio e quindi dovete pazientare un pò per vederla, spero che ne valga la pena.

Some examples of animation I have included in my site www.nefila.com and am working to get a bigger site where I can download the most recent examples. Ho incluso alcuni esempi di grafica 3 dimensionale e animazioni al mio sito www.nefila.com, quando avrò un sito più grande lo dedicerò all'animazione.

Other writings and activities

I have also linked to a draft (rational) ethics paper and declaration of rights which springs from those considerations. Since it is not yet completed it may not be very smooth reading, but I welcome comments, suggestions and even reactions. I have also included other links which may be of interest, if you have any suggestions or sites which you think I should link let me know by e-mail.

Wolfe, if you go there be sure to come back :-) 		Potete trovare alcuni scritti miei sull'etica e un concetto di diritto: ethics paper and declaration of rights. Questi scritti sono ancura in forma provvisoria e quindi molte idee e concetti sono ancora sviluppati solo parzialmente.
Per adesso é tutto in inglese, appena riesco metterò la versione in italiano.

About my work

  • I now create WEB pages and teach English, TeX and other goodies at the Rome Language Centre.

  • I did the trainining for the OMC-G at Telespazio, for Motorola, for the IRIDIUM satellite phone system.
  • I have worked at ESRIN , part of ESA , in Frascati as the BDDN coordinator for the ERS-1 and ERS-2 satellites.
  • Ora sviluppo pagine WEB pages, insegno inglese, TeX and altre materia e collaboro con la Rome Language Centre.

  • Ero responsabile per l'addestramento del OMC-G a Telespazio, per la Motorola, del sistema di telefonia satellitaria IRIDIUM.
  • Ho lavorato presso ESRIN , appartenente all' ESA , a Frascati come coordinatore BDDN per ERS-1 e ERS-2

I was born in Ferrara, Italy, but I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA.

My grandfather, whom I unfortunately never met since he died very young, was Ugo De Paoli, he got a degree in chemistry, though I understand his real love was painting, and the only thing that I have are some photocopies of some of his drawings, he apparently contributed to the "Resto del Carlino", and I believe he also illustrated children's books.

(Needless to say should anyone who comes accross this page know anything at all on how to go about finding more about one's past I would be most grateful on being taught how.)
