From MONDAY to FRIDAY FREE of CHARGE lessons, from 9am to 1pm: Literary Italian, Modern Italian including politic and journalistic slangs. History of Sicily: Classic & Greek ages, Roman & Byzantin ages, The Scuola Siciliana in Palermo, Arabian French Spanish ages. Sicily and the Mediterranean world. Too heavy? No Homeworks!
Manage by yourself all remaining day, but you can have our help all day long
Every SATURDAY a FREE TOUR with all teachers is included. If you can swimm, we cannot impose you to walk with us!
SUNDAY free, manage by yourself your sunny day (Sicilian Jonian coast and Mediterranean sea are still in front of Catania)
You will get a nice room in Catania city center, in winter it is usually used by other Italian students. Price: 100 EURO for ONE month (about 110 USD). Just buy your ticket to Catania, Italy, and GO! You can choose AT YOUR OWN EXPENCE to stay in a Hotel, our staff will give you good suggestions
Your ONE MONTH lessons, five days a week, four hours a day, are FREE, offered you from The City of Catania and EKOS graduated volunteers
The Parlaitaliano School is very close to the train Central Station of CATANIA, Italy. A cheap bus service connect the Fontanarossa Catania Airport with the Central Train Station. More problems? once in Italy ring to 0338/8404025
Three FOOD solutions: Every day at noon you will use a nice and cheap CANTEEN (mensa). Every night Catania offers mediterranean meals (and music) at good prices. Where you stay there will be a common kitchen, just cook by yourself
You can get free ONE MONTH of lessons only. You can send your form again, but next year courses only. You can use the room we provide you for one month only. Wether you want to remain in Sicily (we know it happens) for the whole summer, we can just help you looking for another chep (or chic) good accomodation. We can provide you every information for a complete Sicilian tour (better by bus): Agrigentum, Monreale, Taormina, Selinus, Erice, Segesta, Eraclea... That is, the page is over, read a good large and heavy book on Sicily before you come in Catania
JUST ONE LINE MORE: Catania has 350,000 inhabitants, its old city center was built in XVIII century, its interland ends by Etna (the biggest and most visited volcano of Europe, 3300 mt osl). Fish/oranges/lemons/olive oil/wines/honey/ are its main natural products, famous are its cookies, icecreams, and rice balls (stiffed with meat tomato and cheese).
