It was with great pleasure that I contributed in the preparation of the Astronomical Calendars 2001 and 2002 of the Italian magazine "Nuovo Orione". The astronomical news was edited by Professor Pierluigi Battistini, astronomer at the Bologna University, and I prepared the graphics. Besides photos taken by me, I also used some images kindly granted by friends. The image above is the page of January of the 2002 calendar. The picture shows the suggestive "Medieval Village" of Turin, built in 1885 for the International Exhibition as a very accurate copy of some famous, true medieval castles of Piedmont and Aosta Valley. And here are three other very different examples: the image chosen for March 2002, the photo prepared for April 2002, for May 2002, July 2002, September 2002 and December 2002.

From the Astronomical Calendar 2001 we can see the pictures for the months of January 2001, February 2001, March 2001, July 2001, August 2001 and December 2001.

I MIEI CALENDARI ASTRONOMICI

Ho avuto il grande piacere di collaborare alla preparazione dei Calendari Astronomici 2001 e 2002 della rivista "Nuovo Orione". Il Professor Pierluigi Battistini, docente di Astronomia presso l'Università di Bologna, ha curato la parte relativa alle notizie astronomiche, mentre io mi sono occupato della parte grafica. Oltre a fotografie eseguite da me, ho anche utilizzato alcune immagini gentilmente concessemi da amici, che colgo l'occasione per ringraziare: Bill Dellinges (Arizona, U.S.A.), Dominic Cantin (Québec, Canada), Gianni Tumino (Ragusa), Laura Villanis (Torino), Richard Jacobs (Arizona, U.S.A.).

L'illustrazione presentata in alto è la pagina di gennaio del calendario 2002. La fotografia ritrae il suggestivo "Borgo Medievale" di Torino, costruito nel 1885 in occasione dell'Esposizione Internazionale come copia molto accurata di alcuni famosi ed autentici castelli medievali presenti in Piemonte e Valle d'Aosta. Ecco altri tre esempi quanto mai differenti, uno a proposito della fotografia scelta per il mese di marzo 2002, un altro relativo all'immagine preparata per aprile 2002, la foto del mese di maggio 2002, luglio 2002, quella di settembre 2002 e dicembre 2002.

Dal Calendario Astronomico 2001 propongo invece le immagini relative ai mesi di gennaio 2001, febbraio 2001, marzo 2001, luglio 2001, agosto 2001 e dicembre 2001.
