There are two more connectors to be removed. #3 is the one for your game controller ports and #4 is the one leading to the power supply board on the side of your unit. Now you probably want to gently pull off the plate and see the sweet mamaboard that awaits you. Just like this.. unscrew the plate, there are even arrows on it pointing to the screws!

Soon you are performing the next step by removing the plate. Nothing should be forceful about it. Make sure all the screws are out.

 If there is a small copper flavored cover in way, just pull it outta there. If there is a large aluminum one in the way, just de-solder that bad boy with a solder-sucker. This is 45 Watts, so keep the tip leaning into the plate to dissipate heat. Also NEVER, EEEEVER expel hot solder while you are working over the board!

Now just use the Navigation bar at the left of the page to select the model of Playstation you are modding. The hard part begins!

Q1: I keep getting a blue screen when I try out my back-ups, what the hell is up? 

A1: Oh, you mean this? Don't panic:

Test your backup on someone else's modded PSX. It is very common to burn a "coaster" with incorrect software settings.

if that checks good, Recheck solder connections to ensure that no points were bridged and no "cold joints" were made. Also be sure that the diagram perfectly corresponds to your installation. It might be a "ghost" SERIOUSLY often a job is redone and works like a charm...hmmm.

Did it ever happen with originals if so is your system a 550x or 100x? Your laser might need to be adjusted ..but  I recommend a new playstation all together for only $99. If you insist on making an adjustment- there are sites with that kind of info. Good luck.

Q2: I got a chip from another website and when I try to play [gamenamehere] I see some crazy screen! This was supposed to be a new stealth chip ..what happened?

A2: Oh, you mean this? ..PANIC!!
