Loris Facchinetti, begun his
activity of defending the Human Rights just as young man,
together with a group of young people of different
ideological origins disappointed with the politics of the
parties and occupied with an extend existential and cultural
search, in 1967 he founded the European Civilization Movement.
As the President of this group he organizes intense social
activities defending the weakest and fighting against every
form of illiberal totalitarianism and political, religious,
and ethnic persecution.
He also
presides the International Committee for the Defense of the
Human Rights and in 1968 he became associated to the Movement
of the Antisoviet Dissent NTS (Narodnoi Trudoi Soyuz, the
most famous and important organization of the antisoviet
dissidents).
Loris Facchinetti,with
NTS and with other Associations, from 1967 up to mid of
’80's, organizes resounding demonstrations and activity
against the lagers and the use of the gulags the State used
for interning the antisoviet dissidents (the famous 1970
protest in the stores Tzum in Moscow, to the Bolshoi and St.
Petersburg) in the USSR and in other eastern countries.
He was
constantly active in saving the prisoners from the KGB
lagers and in helping the fugitive in the west paying
particular attention to the members of the Russian Jewish
Community. In the Parliament in Athens, he organizes a
resounding demonstration against the regime of the
Colonels and in defense of the political prisoners and
the restoration of the fundamental liberties. He
organizes, always in defense of the human right and the
political liberty, the occupation of the Chilean embassy
in Rome in the name of the protest against the regime of
Pinochet. Loris Facchinetti constitutes the Movement
"Solidarista" where is between the most active
persons in the defense of the "Church of the Silence"
with which he collaborates. Besides this, he participates
in the creation and the diffusion of the Samizdat. For
these reasons in accord with the western communist
parties the Soviet KGB has tried from 1970 and after to
prevent the activity developed by Loris Facchinetti
orchestrating the attacks of all the types through the
mass-media and through political pressures and operations
of various types. After the fall of the Berlin Wall some
Russian circles, also of the ex communist regime, wanted
to show their respect to Loris Facchinetti naming him
Academic as the sign of definitely termination of the
political struggle and and openings of new horizons of
collaboration. Loris Facchinetti currently occupies him
self with creating of the structures for the recovery of
abandoned children of the big ex-Soviet cities. In the
mid seventies he has been the organizer of the Italian
Section of the Paneuropean union in accord with the
Secretary General Vittorio Pons and the President Otto
Von Habsburg. He has also promoted the voluntary groups
and rising the aid for the earthquake victimes of Irpinia
as well as aid and voluntary groups for other countries.
He has been between the first organizers of the aid for
massacred tutsi children in Rwanda and he is currently
involved in humanitarian activities in Burundi-Rwanda and
as well in Angola. He has organized, in accord with
Church Institutions, the aid in pharmaceuticals and first
necessities products for Iraqi children sheltered in
hospitals, he has, also, coordinated aid in human
resources and materials in the Balkans during the war. He
