DRINKING AND PRIMARY WATER TREATMENT

Pianimpianti has built several drinking water treatment plants abroad as well, in Nigeria, Morocco, Croatia, Central and South America among others, financed chiefly by World Bank, African Development Bank and other similar financial institutions.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT
Pianimpianti provides the most advanced technologies for treating both municipal waste water and waste water coming from the most different industrial sectors, e.g. the difficult sector of pharmaceutical and fine chemicals waste water, where Pianimpianti is leading company in Italy.
SOLID WASTE TREATMENT AND "WASTE TO ENERGY" PLANTS
The disposal of municipal solid waste is one of most serious problems which has to be solved to protect the environment; Pianimpianti, together with Lurgi Entsorgung, is one of the few companies able to face the challenge radically, starting from selection and composting up to incineration, energy recovery and power production.
This cycle is summarized by the term "waste to energy", which conveys the most modern and effective method to solve problem.
HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT - SITE REMEDIATION
Pianimpianti has realized several and complex plants for the removal of both solid and liquid hazardous waste produced by chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and several other industry branches.
The treatment of such waste requires a deep knowledge of the relevant technological implications and foresees moreover energy recovery, as well as very accurate flue gas cleaning, in compliance with the stringent limits imposed by low.
SITE REMEDIATION SYSTEMS
A very important sector gaining ever more revelance is the reclamation of soil contaminated by formerly existing industries such as steel factories, chemical and petrochemical complexes.
Pianimpianti deals actively with this sector and is able to supply a general situation assessment and to develop remediation plans, cutting down the relevant costs.
AIR CLEANING
The European regulations on VOC (volatile organic compounds) emissions to atmosphere compel many companies to install air cleaning plants which have to ensure the respect of the emission limits imposed by low.
The plan portfolio includes solvent recovery with activated carbon (which offers also a considerable economic advantage by allowing the reuse of the recovered solvent), thermal combustion, catalytic plants and several variations of such applications.
