NEW SCIENCE COMPLEX
The new science laboratory and the adjoining preparation room and audiovisual room will allow Key Stage 3 science to be carried out safely and accurately. The laboratory and the purchased equipment will allow a modern day approach to experimental science.
The lab boasts modern ceramic top benches with inbuilt electrical sockets and sink units with excellent student storage spaces beneath. The room has the capacity to seat 18 students comfortably. To keep up with modern technological developments and to work in conjunction with the new individual lap top computers ,new data logging systems have been purchased. This will allow experimentation to be carried out remotely using electrical sensors and easily analysed using the software available. All science work will involve computer technology and will link nicely to our developing website at www.stlouisscience.com to boast exemplary homework etc
Satellite communication is available in a small audio visual room which will provide English based scientific programmes on a regular basis and the possibility of experimental video playback.
Most importantly the new developments will allow the students to experiment using modern methods and hopefully allow them greater breadth of research capabilities.
