Travel in China

Hangzhou

 (July 2003)

I've been to Hangzhou with Joyce and Wim on a hot (very hot - hotter and more humid than you can ever imagine!) week-end in July. Hangzhou is famous for its huge lake, Xi Hu, that confers to the town a relaxed athmosphere and is surrounded by plenty of temples, gardens and pagodas. We found half of the lake shore under construction, so we headed for the islands at the centre of Xi Hu, rented some bicycles and visited a temple on the surrounding hills.
