C'e' un altro sistema per ottenere all'installazione una partizione unica NTFS di
"n" Gb senza ricorrere a sotterfugi di terze parti o ad altri dischi.
Se tu usi l'installazione unattended di NT (devi creare l'apposito file), puoi usare un
parametro che dice all'installazione di usare tutto lo spazio disponibile sul disco
(fisico). Morale: crei una partizione da (poniamo) 1 Gb, installi NT con l'UNATTENDED.TXT
e metti anche l'opzioni di ingrandire la partizione. Al primo reboot quando converte in
NTFS fa automaticamente anche un'espansione della partizione, in un botto unico.

nel caso servisse a qualcuno sono riuscito a risolvere il problema.
NT crea una copia del settore di boot alla fine della partizione.
Quindi mi è "bastato" copiare quest'ultima all'inizio della partizione.
Per farlo ho usato un programma del resoure kit che si chiama drvprobe.exe
e ho seguito le istruzioni di questo link della microsoft.

Windows NT allows you to automate the logon process by storing your password and other
pertinent information in the Registry database.
NOTE: This feature allows other users to start your computer and use the account you
establish to automatically logon. Also, timing conflicts can occur. For example: If you
have several network transports loaded, enabling automatic logon may make Windows NT
attempt to connect to network resources before the network transports are completely
loaded.
Use the Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) to add your logon information, as follows:
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that
may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that
any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at
your own risk.
1. Start REGEDT32.EXE and locate the following Registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft \Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
2. Establish your domain name, account name, and password, using the values you
would normally type when logging on. You should assign the following values:
DefaultDomainName DefaultUserName DefaultPassword
NOTE: The DefaultPassword value may not exist. If it doesn't, from the Edit menu,
choose Add Value. In the Value Name field, type: "DefaultPassword" (without the
quotation marks). Select REG_SZ for the Data Type. In the String field, type your
password. Save your changes.
Also, if no DefaultPassword string is specified, Windows NT automatically changes the
value of the AutoAdminLogon key from 1 (true) to 0 (false), thus
disabling the AutoAdminLogon feature.
3. From the Edit menu, choose Add Value. Enter AutoAdminLogon in the Value Name
field. Select REG_SZ for the Data Type. Enter 1 in the String field. Save your changes.
4. Exit REGEDT32.
5. Exit Windows NT and turn off your computer.
6. Restart your computer and Windows NT. You should be able to logon automatically.
NOTE: To bypass the AutoAdminLogon process, and to logon on as a different user, hold
down the SHIFT key after a logoff or after a Windows NT restart.

One example is as follows:
1.Start the Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
2.Open this registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
3.Verify that all the values in these keys do not contain any incorrect, incomplete, or
null entries (such as "").
4.If the (Default) Name variable has a value of "" (an empty string), delete the
Name variable. After the deletion, the value for (Default) should be "(value not
set)".
This should resolve the problem. Obviously the above is only one possible cause and so all
entries should be checked.

Non capisco il nesso tra Access e VBScript.
In ogni caso, puoi usare un utility chiamata LOGEVENT.EXE, la trovi nel resource kit di
Win NT.
In alternativa, se proprio ti serve una soluzione tipo script, puoi andarti a studiare WMI
(windows management instrumentation) su http://www.microsoft.com/TechNet/win2000/mngwmi.asp

Puoi utilizzare una utility del ResourceKit (logevent) logevent "Batch program
failed"
Puts an Information entry into the event log with the text "Batch program
failed".

Che servizi hai attivi sul server ?
Prova a disabilitare il riavvio del sistema su bugcheck così la mattina dopo puoi vedere
il messaggio a video e in particolare puoi verificare quale programma ha causato il crash.
Se vuoi maggiori informazioni per il controllo del file memory.dmp puoi usare le
informazioni contenute nel sito Microsoft (Q192463)

Nel registry vai alla voce
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
imposta la chiave
DefaultUserName con il nome dell'utente
e aggiungi le chiavi
AutoAdminLogon con valore 1
DefaultPassword dandole per valore la password di accesso dell'utente di
default

Il problema è il servizio SERVER.... vedrai che non è partito. leggi negli
eventi. NT Server ha 2 servizi uno è workstation che sarebbe l'interfaccia
su cui lavori,
l'altro è SERVER che parte ancor prima di dare user e password.
