The Eye, Life, History
Few photographic productions go through
the italian history of the post war period, with the same attention, acute
glance and critic sense, like Franco Pinna did. In his pictures we find
not only the protagonists of the italian history, the most important events
(the liberation of Rome, Togliatti's speeches, the death of Pope Giovanni
XXIII), but even the rapresentation of the poor and humble people, the
tragic tale of silent humanity excluded from the big scenary of history.
